It is now certain that Manchester United Legend, Michael Carrick will be playing under Jose Mourinho next season after it was confirmed by Perth Glory Football Club, an Australian professional soccer club based in Perth, Western Australia. The midfielder has secured a contract extension at Manchester United, according to Perth Glory. Perth were interested in signing Carrick but the A-League side have revealed their disappointment in missing out on the England international.

It was thought the 34-year-old’s close relationship with Perth star Richard Garcia could help push through a deal but it appears he will be playing under Jose Mourinho next season.

American Consortium Takeover Swansea City in £100m Deal

Swansea City have announced that they are set to be taken over by an American consortium subject to Premier League ratification. The group, led by Jason Levien and Steven Kaplan, have agreed a deal worth around £100 million for 60% of the Welsh club.

Swansea City Supporters’ Trust, who own 21.1%, are unaffected by the takeover, but chairman Huw Jenkins and vice-chairman Leigh Dineen will see their holdings reduced from 13.2% and 5.3% respectively.

Manchester United can complete the transfer of Eric Bailly without any problems as far as they can pay his buyout clause which is valued at around £30million, Villarreal official Fernando Roig Negueroles has confirmed. Bailly who has made 35 appearances for Villarreal since making his debut for the La Liga outfit in 2015 but was a key figure for Villareal last season and the 22-year-old is now being tipped to join United.
