Marcos Rojo has revealed that he immediately received backing from Jose Mourinho following the Portuguese’s arrival at Manchester United. The Argentina international was among those linked with a summer exit, while he’s yet to feature in the Premier League this season.
But the defender, who has been widely criticised by fans for his sub-par performances this season, admits he has been ‘surprised’ by Mourinho’s man-management skills.
‘But from the first day he arrived, he already told me what he thought and I also say what I think. He is a coach who is very nice and has high demands.
‘I love the way he thinks and handle players. I was surprised.
‘Now I will work hard to get more minutes on the pitch, that’s what I want.’
