Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw has denied any personal problems with manager Jose Mourinho after coming on the end of some public criticism from the boss last month. The England international was badly at fault for Camilo Zuniga’s goal for Watford in a 3-1 defeat, and was singled out by his manager after the match.
Still, Shaw says he is not bothered by the incident and that he will take Mourinho’s words on board for the future. ‘I have said before, I’m a grown man and take what the manager said,’ he told reporters.
‘I’m still young and need to take on board what he says and improve.
‘I was disappointed with the result but not what the manager said.’
United take on Fenerbahce in the Europa League this Thursday as they look finally look for a win after consecutive draws either side of the international break.
