Jamie Vardy has agreed a four-year deal with Leicester City, the club have confirmed. The 29-year-old Foxes forward was mulling over a move to Arsenal, after the north London outfit triggered his £20million release clause at the King Power Stadium, but he’s decided against moving to the Emirates.
‘Both parties hope that this announcement will end recent speculation regarding Jamie’s future and confirm his long term commitment to Leicester City Football Club,’ a statement from the Premier League champions read.
‘Jamie will continue to focus all of his efforts on trying to achieve success with the England team at the European Championships in France.’
Vardy's refusal to join Arsenal will come as a big blow to all Arsenal fans who have so much thought the prolific striker will join the Gunners this summer
