According to report, Arsenal have reached a £1.5million agreement with the Trotters, which includes performance-based add-ons. The England Under-21 international is expected to make a high-profile move this summer after an impressive breakthrough season at Bolton.
Holding, 20, who despite the fact that Bolton relegated last season picked up the club's player of the year award, was a rare bright spark and a phenomenon in Bolton squad last season. Premier League pair Tottenham and Everton and Scottish giants Celtic also kept tabs on the young centre-half last season and have all been linked with moves this summer.
But report clamis Holding favours a move to the Gunners, who are said to have had their initial offer of £750,000 rejected by Bolton.
The Bolton academy product would become Arsenal's second signing of the summer window, following midfielder Granit Xhaka from Borussia Monchengladbach.
Holding, who recently signed a one-year extension at the Macron Stadium, was part of the England Under-21s side that won the Toulon Tournament last month.
