Chelsea Starlet Stipe Perica Completes Permanent Move to Udinese after One Year Loan

The Croatian striker Stipe Perica who joined Chelsea in 2013 from NK Zadar has completed a permanent switch to Udinese. The Serie A club confirmed. Perica left Chelsea without making a single appearance for the Premier League outfit. During his three years at Stamford Bridge, he spent his time away from the club on loan.

The 20-year-old came up through the ranks of Croatian club NK Zadar before making his way into their first team in 2012. After spending a year in the senior team, he moved to the west London club on 1 August 2013. After arriving at Stamford Bridge, Perica was sent out on loan in the same summer transfer window as he joined Dutch outfit NAC Breda on a season-long loan. In August 2014, his loan deal was further extended for one more season before he returned to Chelsea after the end of the 2014/15 campaign.

Perica did not make his way into the Blues' first team and Jose Mourinho sanctioned another loan move. The striker moved to Udinese on loan last summer and has now completed a permanent switch to Dacia Arena.

A statement on Udinese's official website read, "Udinese Calcio are delighted to have agreed the permanent signing of 20-year-old Croatian striker Stipe Perica from English side Chelsea FC."

"Stipe Perica joined Udinese on loan from Chelsea FC in January 2015. He scored 3 goals in 20 Serie A appearances and one goal in two Coppa Italia appearances."
