Gonzalo Higuain May be Heading to Liverpool as Jurgen Klopp Spotted with Argentine Star’s Agent

Liverpool are in serious need of some major attackers up front, with Christian Benteke failing to make an impact last season and with Daniel Sturridge continuing to be plagued by injury problems. Hence, Liverpool are now being strongly linked with a transfer move for Gonzalo Higuain after Jurgen Klopp was spotted with the player’s agent.

Higuain, meanwhile, enjoyed arguably the best season of his career as he scored a record-breaking 36 goals in a single Serie A season for Napoli.

The Argentine’s fine form has seen him linked with the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United, but Liverpool may now be leading the chase for his signature considering the fact that the Argentine star will be hungry to return back to Champions League football come next season.

Photos have appeared online of Klopp watching Argentina’s Copa America game against Chile on Monday night, alongside Higuain’s brother and agent Nicolas.

The German supposedly then left the match when Higuain was subbed off, which strengthens previous reports from beIN Sports that a deal for the 28-year-old was close.
