Good News for Manchester United Fans as David de Gea Denies Transfer Rumour

Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has hit out at rumours linking him with a move to Real Madrid this summer, stating wants to ‘win more titles’ at Old Trafford. Despite the Spanish goalkeeper signing a new United deal in September that runs until 2019, speculation continues to swirl about his future at Old Trafford.

Madird-based AS reported that Real are determined to sign the 25-year-old within the next two weeks after failing on deadline day last summer.

However, the former Atletico Madrid stopper is clearly frustrated with the constant rumours and took aim at the newspapers for making up things he said.

‘People talk a lot and they know little,’ De Gea told Spanish newspaper Marca.

‘I know how all this works, but what I think is disrespectful is when people start making out that it’s something I have said. I’ve got three more years on my contract with Manchester United and the desire to win more titles here.’

The former Atletico Madrid stopper also welcomed the appointment of new United boss Jose Mourinho, who he thinks can ‘build a great team’.

‘To speak of Jose Mourinho is to talk about a winning coach and that is United’s philosophy and mine,’ he added.

‘With that idea in mind, I’m certain we can build a great team. I welcome him.’
