Mourinho completed his first signing as a Manchester United coach on Wednessday and the former Chelsea manager has showered praises on his new signing, Eric Bailly. The 22-year-old who completed his move to Old Trafford on earlier on Wednesday, signed a four-year contract that will keep him at the club until at least 2020.
Bailly joined Villarreal in January, 2015 and made 47 appearances for the Spanish club. Mourinho believes the Ivory Coast international has all the attributes needed to become one of the best centre-halves in Europe.
"Eric is a young central defender with great natural talent. He has progressed well to date and has the potential to become one of the best around," the United boss said.
"We look forward to working with him to help nurture that raw talent and fulfil his potential. Eric is at the right club to continue his development."
