Tottenham Reach Agreement to Sign £11.5million AS Roma Striker, Tony Sanabria

Tottenham are reportedly closing in on a transfer move for AS Roma striker Tony Sanabria in an £11.5million deal. Sanabria is perhaps not the big name some Tottenham fans may have had in mind, but the 20-year-old is considered an exciting young talent.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Spurs have reached an agreement to sign Sanabria, seemingly fighting off competition from Rubin Kazan for the young forward. The Paraguay international spent four years in Barcelona’s youth team before joining Roma, and he shone on loan at Sporting Gijon last season.

Mauricio Pochettino has had great success in bringing through young players at White Hart Lane and may fancy his chances of getting the best out of Sanabria.

The north London side have been keen to strengthen up front this summer, with the likes of Michy Batshuayi and Vincent Janssen also linked as top targets for the club.
