Chelsea Youngerster Lewis Baker Won Goal of the Season Award at Vitesse for the Second Time in His Early Career

Lewis Baker has won the Goal of the Season award at Vitesse Arnhem, the club he was on loan at during the season recently completed. For the second time in his young career, 21-year-old Lewis Baker has won a club's Goal of the Season award. Back in 2013-14, he won it for Chelsea, for a goal he actually scored for the U21 side. It was magnificent enough to garner proper attention and reward.

The 21-year-old midfielder’s right-foot strike from distance, which was a late equaliser away to De Graafschaap in February, was chosen in a poll of the Dutch club’s supporters.

Baker made 34 appearances for Vitesse in 2015/16 and scored five goals. Last month he was awarded the Golden Boot as England Under-21s won the Toulon Tournament, his four goals including the opener in the final.
