Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma who injured his anterior cruciate ligaments in an awkward fall when playing against Manchester United in February is hopeful of playing again before the turn of the year. The 21-year-old suffered a serious injury (anterior cruciate ligaments) in an awkward fall when playing against Manchester United in February, and has been on the sidelines ever since.
The French international who will miss Euro2016 which is being hosted by his country was first expected to be out for six months, the centre-back is now aiming to be back in action around the beginning of 2017 – almost a year after picking up the injury.
‘I don’t know when I’ll be back out on the pitch but everything’s going well,’ he told The Sun.
‘I’m kicking the ball around a bit, I’m not in any pain and I feel good.’
He added on returning to playing before 2017: ‘I hope so, I think I’ve got enough time to be ready.
‘But I don’t have a precise date.’
