Chelsea Left Back, Cesar Azpilicueta Rubbishes Reports Linking Him with Manchester United

Cesar Azpilicueta has dismissed a summer move away from Chelsea after reports linked him with a possible reunion with Jose Mourinho, who has taken over the reins at Manchester Unite.

The 26-year-old versatile defender has denied any contact with the Portuguese boss, who was pivotal in converting him from a right-back to a full-time left back at Chelsea. He has been a key figure in the Blues' defence since his arrival from Marseille four years ago and is keen to remain at the club beyond the summer.

But Azpilicueta was not interested in talking about his future in the middle of his country's Euro 2016 campaign, and made it clear that Spain and Chelsea were the only two teams in his mind at the moment.

"[Mourinho?] No. If you believe me or don't believe me," Azpilicueta told Spanish radio station Cadena Cope, as translated by the Sun.

"It's always a compliment that you are wanted. I've heard highly about [Bilbao boss] Ernesto Valverde but I'm focused on the national team and Chelsea."

"I've been there [Chelsea] for four years, I am very happy and I feel highly valued," the Spain international explained.
