Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed the appointment of former Sevilla boss Unai Emery as their new manager. The three times Europa League winner sign two years contract that will keep him at Paris until 2018. The Spaniard won three consecutive Europa League titles with the La Liga side and he will now enjoy the chance to manage in Ligue 1.
The former Valencia manager replaces Laurent Blanc after three successful years, domestically at least.
Following on from that, the minimum expectation for Emery will be to keep delivering Ligue 1 titles, while also having a real crack at the Champions League.
PSG are yet to get beyond the quarter-finals and their owners have been outspoken about their desire to win Europe’s premier competition.
